June 17, 2010: Please call the MA state senators and representatives who are part of the budget Conference Committee and ask them to support the following five priorities in the FY2011 State Budget:

  1. Employment Services Program (Line Item 4401-1000): The House version funded at $23 million.
  2. One-Stop Career Centers (7003-0803):
    The Senate version funded at $5.5 million.
  3. At-Risk Youth-YouthWorks Teen Jobs (7002-0012):  
    The Senate amount of $4 million.
  4. School-to-Career Connecting Activities (7027-0019):  
    The Senate amount of $2.1 million.
  5. Workforce Training Fund (7003-0701):  
    The House amount of $21 million - which represents the amount collected from the State's employers.


The Conference Committee plans to produce the FY2011 budget by Monday, June 21.
